Meet: Allison

Allison Hassard AIFD, CFD – Wedding & Event Director | Lead Designer

AIFD Certified, floral design lead, Allison began her career in the industry at just 16 years old. Allison found her home at Frugal flower over 25 years ago, and today, she oversees the company’s wedding and event business. An integral part of The Frugal Flower, she brings her unmatched creativity, deep industry knowledge, careful attention to detail, and unending passion to every wedding and event she works on. She garnered her welding certificate in 2021, and hand-crafts many of the backdrop focal structures we design with. She is a trusted source for every couple, ensuring they enjoy a seamless planning process and truly memorable dream wedding. Allison and our team have been featured in Boston Weddings.

Here are some fun facts about Allison!

1. Allison has been taking dance classes with the same dance teacher (and former Rockette!) for over 50 years! Her favorite style is tap dancing.
2. Allison LOVES the water… a pool, the ocean, a lake… it’s so calming – and the water is her happy place!
3. Allison received her welding certification in 2021 and engineers many of our focal features for the ceremony herself!
4. Allison LOVES yard work, gardening, and foraging – she always tries to incorporate things that she’s harvested into every single bridal bouquet – for a little something personal and extra special!

Meet: Michael

Michael Maskery, CFD – Certified Floral Designer

Michael is one of the most essential additions to our team. With his many years of experience in the floral industry, he brings a modern, artistic flair to the design table, and that special magic to his dazzling wedding designs. Michael proudly added the official title “Certified Floral Designer” from the American Institue of Floral Designers to his toolbelt in 2022 after completing their test & certification. Brides fawn over the highly-curated, tasteful, and elegant creations that he incorporates into their big day. Outside of our weddings and events, Michael’s innate sense of art, design, technique, and flair for drama, texture, tone and mood, can be seen in his breathtaking arrangements for weddings of all sizes and visions.

Here are some fun facts about Michael!

1. Michael just got married in October of 2022!
2. His favorite movie is Wizard of Oz and has watched it over 200 times (at least!)
3. In fact, he exchanged rings in front of Dorothy’s Red Slippers at The Academy Museum in Hollywood!
4. His favorite board game is clue

Meet: Denise

Denise Collette, Floral Designer

When it comes to floral design, Denise is a true master of her craft – we’ve been eternally grateful to have her with us for over 20 years. Denise has been artfully designing beautiful florals and statement pieces, specializing in grander statement pieces like stunning hanging sprays and floral displays, as well as breathtaking statement arrangements. Clients rave about her spectacular, intricate, hand-crafted designs.

Here are some fun facts about Denise!

1. Denise got married at a lighthouse on the coast of Maine
2. Speaking of Maine, Blueberry is her favorite flavor
3. She totally has a thing for flamingos, and dreams of living in a pink house on a beach in Key West…with lots of those pink flamingos 🙂
