The entire process of concepting, planning, ordering and creating wedding florals isn’t “staring at pretty flowers all day, snapping our fingers, and *poof*! your stunning floral arrangements are complete”; it’s all about a streamlined, seamless process that ensures everything comes together perfectly on your big day!
Our Process at a Glance
Once we confirm all final floral details 2-3 weeks before the wedding, we order premium, fresh blooms to ensure they arrive at the peak of their beauty. Our team begins preparing flowers mid-week, carefully processing each bloom to ensure they would look fresh and vibrant. By Thursday and Friday, we are hard at work designing our weekend wedding’s arrangements—from elegant bouquets for the bridal party to stunning centerpieces that will later grace the reception space.
2-3 Weeks Out: Securing the Freshest Blooms
Once all final items are confirmed, we place our orders to guarantee the freshest flowers possible.
Timing is everything in our process, ensuring the flowers arrive vibrant and pristine.
Prep Days: Wednesday to Friday
We begin preparing all florals on Wednesday, cleaning, hydrating, and processing the flowers so they’re wedding-ready. Rentals like vases and candles are cleaned and polished, ready for setup.
By Thursday and Friday, our team is fully in “design mode,” creating all the arrangements—from personal flowers to stunning ceremony pieces.
The Day Before: Prepping the Ceremony Setup
For larger installations, like Saturday’s wedding for Alex and Harry’s ceremony structure, we create most of the arrangements in advance, ensuring the pieces are ready to be secured on-site. Each floral piece is about 80% complete by this time, so we only need our magic final touches and minor touch-ups once we’re at the venue.
Day Of: Execution & Setup
Here’s where the magic happens! We carefully pack all florals and rentals in our vans—personals are placed in hydration chambers and boxes for easy transport. Then we head to the venue, often working within a tight 2-hour window for setup. Everything is pre-labeled and triple-checked before we even arrive to make sure everything goes smoothly!
The Wedding Day Ninja Mode
Once setup is done, we’re not finished yet! We’ll stay on-site to transfer florals from the ceremony to the reception. (If we’re lucky, we might even catch that “I do” moment! 😍)
On Saturday, at Alex and Harry’s wedding, we worked behind the scenes to seamlessly transition arrangements, ensuring that the reception space looked as spectacular as their ceremony.
On Sunday, we had the absolute pleasure of creating the floral magic for Alex and Peter’s stunning wedding at the beautiful Saphire Estate. As any seasoned wedding florist knows, no matter how much you plan, sometimes Mother Nature has a different agenda—this wedding was no exception!
Our day began with setting up for their outdoor ceremony, a lush garden-style arrangement filled with vibrant blooms and delicate greenery framing the estate’s stunning scenery. However, as the sky started to darken, the rain plan quickly came into action. In true “wedding day warrior” spirit, we quickly and carefully broke down the entire setup outdoors (yes, in the rain!) and transported the arrangements inside to transform the indoor space just in time for the ceremony.
Through it all, our team remained focused on making sure the ceremony still looked flawless and filled with love, even as we navigated the weather change.
