Here’s our studio playbook for rain-ready logistics and caring for spring’s stars—tulips and ranunculus—so your flowers look luminous from aisle to last dance.

Your Rain Plan, Simplified

Why it matters: Spring weather can change within hours. A simple, pre-agreed rain plan protects your investment and keeps the day stress-free.

The Just Bloom’d Weddings Rain-Ready Checklist

• Two ceremony layouts approved in advance (outdoor + covered/indoor).
• Tent or indoor backup with confirmed install window and access path for our team.
• Floor protection: runner/plywood for soft ground; towel/runner at entrance.
• Wind note: secure mechanics (weighted bases, zip ties, discreet fishing line).
• Candles: swap open flame → enclosed hurricanes or LED if wind is >10–12 mph.
• Communication: final decision 6–8 hours prior to the ceremony, so we can stage efficiently!

Pro move: Choose a ceremony design that repurposes beautifully in either plan—ground meadows, aisle clusters, or a floral frame that can move to your head table or entrance.

Tulips — Elegant, Expressive, Alive

Why we love them: Versatile, classic, and sculptural. Tulips continue to grow and arc in arrangements—this movement is a feature, not a flaw.

Care & Design Notes

• Conditioning: We hydrate in cool water sleeves; allow stems to settle before designing.
• Shape: Expect gentle arching over the day; we design with that elegant curve in mind.
• Placement: Keep out of direct heat/sun; ideal for bouquets, meadows, and airy compotes.
• Palette: Cream, blush, apricot, citrus, and parrot varieties for texture.

Bride tip: If you love tight, composed bouquets, we’ll blend tulips with structure-forward flowers (garden roses, ranunculus) to hold shape while letting a few tulips dance.

Ranunculus — Petal-Rich & Photo-Perfect

Why we love them: High petal count, dreamy texture, and a wide color range.

Care & Design Notes

• Conditioning: we hydrate them upright; and avoid crowding their super delicate necks.
• Stability: We wire/tape where needed for boutonnières and bouquets.
• Longevity: Keep cool pre-ceremony; ranunculus are long-lasting when conditioned properly.
• Palette: Whites, buttercream, blush, peach, coral, and sherbet tones. Butterfly ranunculus are stunning but top tier, so very expensive!

Groom tip: Ranunculus make elevated, compact boutonnières that photograph beautifully and hold up with proper wiring.

• Repurpose with intent: Aisle meadows /pedestals → head table; ceremony clusters → bar/entrance or a beautiful sweetheart table or mantle vision.
